These Eight College Basketball Teams Will Duke It Out To Be Named Emerald Coast Classic Champs in 2024!

The inaugural Emerald Coast Classic women’s basketball tournament will tip off on November 25-26 at Raider Arena on Northwest Florida State College’s Campus. Global Sports, the event organizer, announced the game matchups on Tuesday, promising an exciting slate of competitions.

The tournament will feature eight formidable teams divided into two competitive brackets. The Bay Bracket will see Alabama, Alabama State, Clemson, and UAB vying for supremacy. Meanwhile, Creighton, Missouri, Syracuse, and Wichita State will battle it out in the Beach Bracket.

 

The action kicks off in the Bay Bracket with Clemson facing UAB in a semifinal round game at 11 a.m. Central Time on Monday, November 25. Following that, Alabama will take on Alabama State at 1:30 p.m. The victors will advance to the championship game, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, while the losers of the first two games will play the third-place game will be at 11 a.m. that day.

 

In the Beach Bracket, Syracuse will clash with Missouri at 5 p.m. on Monday, November 25, followed by Wichita State taking on Creighton at 7:30 p.m. The winners will meet in the championship game at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, with the third-place matchup slated for 5 p.m.

 

Fans can look forward to a talent showcase, as Alabama, Creighton, and Syracuse all made it to the second round of the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament. Notably, Syracuse and Creighton were ranked Nos. 20 and 23, respectively, in the final Associated Press women’s basketball poll, adding a competitive edge to the tournament.

 

Tickets for the Emerald Coast Classic will be available online later this summer through the tournament’s official website, www.emeraldcoastclassic.com.
