The Okaloosa County Supervisor of Elections office announced that early voting will be temporarily halted in Okaloosa County on Tuesday, January 21, Wednesday, January 22, and Thursday, January 23, 2025 due to Winter Storm Enzo. Regular office hours and operations for early voting are expected to resume on Friday, January 24, at 7 AM.

Early voting for the special primary runs from January 18 through January 25, from 10 AM to 6 PM, at the following locations:
Voter ID Requirements
Voters must bring a current and valid photo ID with a signature. Accepted forms include a Florida Driverโs License, U.S. Passport, Military ID, and others listed on the Elections Office website. Those without proper ID can vote using a provisional ballot.

Election Day Voting
Election Day for the 2025 Special Primary for Floridaโs Congressional District 1 is Tuesday, January 28. Polls will be open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Voters must cast their ballots in the precinct corresponding to their registered address. To avoid delays, those who have recently moved are encouraged to update their address with the Elections Office. Voter information can be confirmed using the Voter Lookup Tool at VoteOkaloosa.gov or by calling the office at 850-689-5600 or 850-651-7272.
Vote by Mail
Voters can request vote-by-mail ballots via phone or online. The deadline to request a ballot was Thursday, January 16, 2025. Completed ballots must be returned to the Elections Office by 7 PM on Election Day. Voters may also return vote-by-mail ballots to secure ballot intake stations at any early voting site, but not at polling places.
As of January 23, voter turnout for early voting stands at 2.53%, with 2,236 ballots cast by Okaloosa Countyโs 88,385 active eligible voters. For more election updates, visit govote-okaloosa.com.
