Combining the freshest local ingredients, particularly Byrd’s fresh shrimp from Niceville, this recipe promises to be a crowd-pleaser. Serve this at FSU’s bowl game, and they’ll forget all about the college playoff committee’s decision to send Alabama to glory.

Too soon?

Byrd’s Seafood has earned its reputation as a purveyor of some of the freshest Seafood in the area. Their commitment to quality and sustainability shines through every shrimp they harvest. The secret to our seafood dip’s success? Byrd’s succulent shrimp adds a local touch to this easy-to-prepare dish. What better way to impress your friends than by telling them the shrimp were caught here in our beautiful waters? Byrd’s Seafood Market is located in the heart of Niceville and is owned by Bubba and Jennifer Byrd. 50-year residents, fishing is a way of life for the Byrds.

This recipe came about when I was the chef at a local New Orleans-themed restaurant. We served it with bubbly parmesan garlic bread toast, and it was one of our most popular appetizers.

This shrimp and crab dip is incredibly versatile and can be paired with an array of dippables such as tortilla chips, crusty bread, crackers, and even soft pretzels. Have fun with this recipe; you can even swap out the jack cheese for cheddar, habanero, or pepper jack cheese. Don’t you like crab meat? Swap out the same weight with another favorite shellfish like oysters or crawfish tail meat!

So, why settle for the ordinary when you can impress your guests with homemade Shrimp and crab Seafood Dip? Make your gatherings memorable with a taste of the Gulf Coast, and let the festivities begin!
