Boyles Picks Up Law Enforcement Endorsements in State House Race

Sheriffs Bob Johnson of Santa Rosa County and Eric Aden of Okaloosa County have endorsed Nathan Boyles, a conservative businessman, for Florida’s State Representative District 3 seat.

Johnson and Aden praised Boyles for his support of law enforcement and his commitment to public safety. Sheriff Johnson described Boyles as a “pro-law enforcement conservative” who he says will work alongside Governor Ron DeSantis to ensure Florida remains a leader in public safety.

“I know our deputies can count on Nathan Boyles to have their backs and I am proud to endorse him for State Representative,” Sheriff Johnson said.

Sheriff Aden emphasized Boyles’ record of providing resources to law enforcement and expressed confidence in his ability to strengthen public safety efforts statewide. “We need leaders in Tallahassee who understand that public safety is the cornerstone upon which Florida’s success is built.  Nathan Boyles has always stood up for law enforcement and given them the tools and resources they need to keep our community safe.  I’m proud to stand with him in his bid to represent District 3 in Tallahassee and I look forward to working with him to keep Florida the most law enforcement-friendly state in the nation,” Sherriff Aden said.

Boyles expressed gratitude for the endorsements, commending the sheriffs for their dedication to the community. He pledged to support law enforcement in Tallahassee, highlighting their vital role in maintaining safety and security.

Nathan Boyles is a small business owner and former Okaloosa County Commissioner. He has also held leadership roles with the Okaloosa Library Cooperative, Okaloosa Walton Transportation Planning Organization, and the Crestview Community Redevelopment Agency.

He lives in Okaloosa County with his wife, Crystal and their two kids.

Another Candidate, Hayden Burkhard Hudson, has filed for the 2026 election. Hudson filed on December 5, 2024 and lists his address as a Post Office Box in St. Petersburg, Florida.
