Family Destinations Guide named Destin, Florida, its number one beach vacation destination in the State of Florida for 2023. 

“With clear turquoise wasters and sands so white, you’d easily mistake them for snow, Destin guarantees an unforgettable beach escape,” the site says. 

The page also cites Destin’s wildlife encounters and waterfront restaurants as another reason to visit our area. 

Writer Tanner Wilkes adds that Crystal Beach “is for the typical beach bum longing for sugar white, powdery sands against teal waters,” and that “Henderson Beach and Grayton Beach, on the other hand, offer nature trails aside from the usual seaside experience.”

The same article ranked Panama City Beach number five, Santa Rosa Beach number twelve, and Fort Walton Beach (maybe they mean Okaloosa Island?) number thirteen. 

Interesting that one of the places with a top fifteen ranking… Doesn’t have a beach. 

But the magical online list says it’s in the top fifteen, so it must be, right?
