Niceville’s girls and boys soccer teams lost their district tournament games this week – but that doesn’t mean the season is over for them.
The girls’ squad lost a tough 2-1 game to the Navarre Raiders on Monday. The Niceville boys’ lost 4-1 against #2 seed Fort Walton Beach High School after an early 1-0 lead in the first half.
Both teams still have games left to play and they will find out who they will play in the state tournament soon. We’ll let you know they will be playing when we find out!
The Northwest Florida State College Raiders Mens’ Basketball team is #3 in the NJCAA right now, with a 23-2 record. The Raiders still haven’t lost at home this season.
They’ll defend that unbeaten streak on Saturday, February 5th, when they take on the Gulf Coast State College Commodores in an away game. The Commodores are 15-8 on the season. The Raiders beat the Commodores 91-69 in their last meeting on January 19th (also in Niceville).
The Raiders’ women’s team is also a force to be reckoned with this season. They are number three in the NJCAA right now and have only one loss on the season – a 52-50 nail-biter at Chipola College. They also play Gulf Coast State College on Saturday.
The GSGC Commodores are 16-9 on the season – their loss to the Raiders was a close, six-point game.
The Raiders Baseball Team is still out of town – and will host their first home game of the campaign on February 8th against Lurleen Wallace State College.
The raiders are 2-1 so far this year and will play down the road in Bay County this weekend at the Visit Panama City Beach NJCAA Baseball Classic.
The 3-1 NWFSC Softball team has a four-game homestand this weekend. The Raiders will play their first two games against Coastal Alabama on Friday and their second two against Lurleen Wallace Community College on Saturday.
