At Hurlburt Field, Chief Master Sergeant Anthony Green is standing trial before a military judge, having elected to be tried by judge alone rather than by a panel. He has entered not guilty pleas to all charges, which include multiple child pornography–related offenses and obstruction of justice.

Allegations and charges
According to the prosecution’s opening statement, Green is accused of secretly recording his then 15-year-old stepdaughter in her bedroom over a period from January to April 2025.
Prosecutors allege that:
- Three hidden cameras were found in the alleged victim’s bedroom:
- One disguised as a surge protector
- One disguised as a wall charger
- One hidden inside an air purifier
- The devices were aimed at her bed and captured her:
- Completely nude
- Getting dressed and undressed
- Masturbating and engaging in other intimate activity
- Evidence shows that Green allegedly:
- Cropped and zoomed in on images of her genitalia
- Screen-recorded explicit footage from the live stream and saved it to his device
Prosecutors also cited phone metadata indicating that, in the nine days before Green was discovered, his phone had a streaming app open viewing a live feed from the alleged victim’s room for a total of 25 hours.
The day the alleged victim discovered the camera
The first witness, the alleged victim, now 16, who testified about the day she realized she was being filmed.
According to the alleged victim’s testimony:
- It began as a normal day. Green came home from work, changed out of his uniform, and asked her to start his truck because they were planning to go to the store.
- When she got to the truck, she saw his phone mounted in the vehicle, with an app open showing a live video stream of her bedroom.
- Initially unsure how to react, she later confronted Green after he noticed she was visibly upset.
- She testified that Green told her they “needed to talk” and said she had “lost his trust”, framing his actions as protecting her.
- Green then accompanied her to her bedroom, opened the air purifier, and removed a hidden camera.
- He handed the device to the alleged victim and told her he trusted her to know what to do with it.
- The alleged victim said she took the camera to a pavilion across the street from their home and disposed of it.
- She also testified that Green told her that was the only camera in her room—something now alleged to be false, given the later discovery of two additional devices.
Emotional Atmosphere in Court
The alleged victim’s time on the stand was marked by visible emotional strain. At one point, the proceedings had to be recessed when she broke down in tears while reviewing evidence. As a 16-year-old recounting deeply personal and invasive events, her testimony was clearly difficult for her to deliver.
By contrast, observers described Green’s demeanor as stoic, showing little outward emotion during the proceedings heard so far.
Defense Response
When invited to present an opening statement, Green’s defense counsel declined, choosing not to lay out a narrative at this early stage of the trial. For now, the defense position is reflected only in Green’s not guilty pleas, with a fuller strategy yet to become visible in court.
