VALPARAISO – The Heritage Museum of Northwest Florida has announced it will host a lecture on September 9 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
The event, part of the museum’s “History Sandwiched-In” series, has been moved from the museum to the Valparaiso Community Center on Glenview Avenue. The program is scheduled to run from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
According to the press release, the event will feature a talk by Rev. Cecil Williams, a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired pastor. Williams is slated to speak about his personal experiences on September 11, 2001, and in the years that followed. The museum’s announcement described the planned presentation as a “powerful and insightful talk.”
The organization says the event is free to attend and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. The museum claims it will provide drinks and dessert for those present.
