Residents around Eglin Air Force Base may hear increased aircraft noise during nighttime hours this week as the 60th Fighter Squadron conducts training operations.
The squadron is scheduled to conduct night flying operations Aug. 4 through Aug. 6, with fighter aircraft expected to fly missions between 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
Eglin officials said nighttime flying is required for training operations and warned residents in the area to expect aircraft noise during the evening missions.
