CRESTVIEW — The Okaloosa County School District is looking for community members interested in joining its Transportation team as it hosts a Bus Driver Job Fair later this month.
The job fair will take place Thursday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the District’s Transportation North Bus Barn, located at 555 Anderson Street in Crestview.
The event is designed to give potential applicants an inside look at what it takes to become an OCSD school bus driver, a position responsible for safely transporting students to and from school each day.
Attendees will have the opportunity to test-drive a school bus before applying, meet with Human Resources representatives for help completing applications, and learn about paid training opportunities available to help candidates earn a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
School officials said becoming a bus driver offers community members the chance to serve local students while building a rewarding career with the district.
Those interested in attending the job fair are encouraged to explore the benefits of joining the OCSD Transportation team and apply on-site.
