Christ Our Redeemer Catholic Church in Niceville will hold its second annual Mardi Gras 5K Fun Run & Walk on Saturday, March 1, 2025. The event includes a 5K race starting at 9 a.m. and a children’s fun run at 10 a.m. Participants are encouraged to wear Mardi Gras-inspired costumes as they enjoy a flat, scenic course with bay views.
The day’s festivities will feature lively music, food trucks, a 50/50 raffle, and games provided by Cub Scouts Pack 553. Strollers are welcome on the course, making the event family-friendly.
Registration is $30 for early sign-ups through February 8 and includes a t-shirt. Late registration, available until race day, costs $35 but does not guarantee a shirt. Packets will be available for pick-up on Friday, February 28, from 4–6 p.m. at the church.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Christ Our Redeemer’s Building Community Fund, which supports the construction of a new facility that will house administrative offices, meeting rooms, and a large hall for community events.
