EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The Air Force Civil Engineer Center and the 96th Test Wing are searching for a public or private partner to lease and develop Eglin Air Force Base’s golf course and surrounding property.

The initiative, part of the Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) Program, involves a 603-acre parcel designated for a golf course improvement project. The selected partner will handle financing, permitting, development, construction, ownership, maintenance, and operations of the project. The EUL program allows the Air Force to lease underutilized, non-excess land not required for current missions for compatible commercial development, providing economic benefits to both the Air Force and the lessee.

The lease will be awarded through a source selection process based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation, with lease payments required to meet or exceed fair market value. The Final Request for Lease Proposal (AFCEC-25-R-0001) is available on SAM.gov, with submissions due by 5 p.m. CST on September 19, 2025.
