Ginger Bowden Madden, State Attorney for the First Judicial Circuit of Florida announced that today Walton County Circuit Judge Kelvin Wells sentenced 35-year-old, Dallas Anthony Francis to 50 Years in the Florida Department of Corrections with a 20 Year Minimum Mandatory for Attempted Second Degree Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer with a Firearm, two counts of Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, Grand Theft and Fleeing or Eluding Law Enforcement.
The charges stem from a June 17, 2022, incident where law enforcement
officers attempted to question Dallas Francis about a Robbery. Before the
officers could question him, Mr. Francis fled in his vehicle at high rates of
speed and fired multiple shots.
The apprehension and arrest were conducted by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
