Officials at Eglin Air Force Base have launched a new digital platform intended to track reports of fraud, waste, and abuse within the 96th Test Wing. The system, called the “Fraud DAWG Portal,” was developed by the wing’s financial management and legal offices to centralize the reporting and investigation process.
According to a press release, the SharePoint-based portal is designed to replace previous methods of handling such complaints. Base officials claim the new system will allow for real-time tracking of cases from their initial report to their final resolution. The platform is meant to consolidate information from various base entities, including financial managers, legal staff, and law enforcement.
Michael Malley, the 96th Comptroller Squadron director, stated that the initiative represents a “proactive stance” on fiscal responsibility. Officials assert that the portal will provide leadership with better oversight and help identify trends in waste and abuse. They hope the system will eventually serve as a model for other Air Force installations looking to manage similar programs.
